Wyatt Cagle is a Houston-based freelance Producer, Director and Editor with nearly a decade of extensive experience in the film and television industry. He is currently an Executive Producer and Editor of the PBS show Houston, Profile with Greg Scheinman.

Wyatt is at the forefront of the industry’s push into accessing and utilizing ever-expanding tools and modes of exposure/distribution. He is developing multiple projects for both traditional media and ventures into new media and web 2.0 content.

In 2008 Wyatt launched the web-series “Do You” to critical acclaim for both its social relevance as an art form and its use of new media as a promotional technique. 

 Wyatt gained notoriety in his directorial debut for the award winning martial arts film Gemini. After its successful tour of the film festival circuit, West Park Foundries acquired it for distribution.

Wyatt has sharpened his production skills on many feature length projects over his career, most recently as the Assistant Director on the set of the independent film Noble Things. Wyatt’s craftsmanship as an Editor has played a tremendous role in a number of award winning documentaries including “Magnolia: A Century of Oil” and “Surviving Rita”.

Wyatt has produced projects for several Fortune 500 companies including Dell, 3M and HP. His work has even earned Wyatt an Addy Award. Wyatt has been a consultant on small independent documentaries, directed music videos for local bands, and produced his own documentaries that have earned several awards including two Houston Press Club Awards for Outstanding Documentary. In 2001, Wyatt started his own production company - CGL Studios.

Wyatt recently finished his term as Post Production Supervisor and Lead Editor at Team Baby Entertainment, a division of former Disney CEO Michael Eisner's venture capital company Team Tornante. He has earned the prestigious NAPPA Gold Seal for his outstanding work in children's programming.
