Frieda Gilroy

Frieda Gilroy is an award winning short film, originally created in June 2008 for the 48 Hour Film Project, Houston. Each team drew a genre out of a hat and had 48 hours to write, film and edit a finished project that contained three required elements: a character named Frank or Frieda Gilroy who was a waiter/waitress, a lightbulb and the following line of dialogue: “He’s been around a time or two.” Frieda Gilroy, a “Film de Femme” (film with a strong female lead), won Audience Favorite at it’s 48 Hour Film Project screening, an Award of Merit at the Indie Film Distribution Fest and a Platinum Remi at Worldfest Houston International Film Festival.
